This happened around March of 2022.
My fiancé wanted cookies. So we decided to make them.
I believe I remember using some type of chocolate that you can get in large chunks. It was milk chocolate, as well as having bits of pretzel and caramel mixed into it.
We create the dough as one usually would, browned butter, sugar, egg, etc.
I chopped the large chunk of chocolate fairly finely and incorporated it into the cookie dough.
Rolled the dough into balls and placed them on the baking tray. Notice that the tray has a silicon mat on it. It actually makes clean up a lot easier and you’re less likely to have to scrape cookies off the metal sheet.
After placing the cookie dough balls on the sheet, I noticed tha
t we had marshmallows stashed away so I decided to put them to use. I put one, small, marshmallow onto each ball of cookie dough. I thought that it might become a bit like a smore.
In hindsight, I think that I should have maybe put it in the center of the cookie dough ball.
It looks… interesting? 🤨
Oh yeah! An important thing to remember, when making pastries and things that you don’t want to be too salty- you should use Kosher Salt. I’m not quite sure what it is about it, but when compared to other salts like pink Himalayan salt, or sea salt; Kosher salt doesn’t have an off taste about it.
Maybe someone more knowledgeable can comment on why that’s the case?
I think that about wraps it up for this post. I don’t have the recipe for the cookies on me at the moment, I’ll probably post the recipe and instructions for how to make it in the future though.
As always, thanks for reading!
